KATHMANDU: Nepal has suffered its second consecutive defeat in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers.
Nepal lost to Tajikistan 11-1 in a match played in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Saturday. Even though Nepal made an early lead in the said game, it has suffered a wide defeat. Although the first half ended in a 1-1 draw, Tajikistan scored 10 goals in the second half.
Earlier, Nepal had lost the first match against Uzbekistan by five goals to one. With today’s defeat, Nepal is out of the group stage. Nepal will play Afghanistan in the final match on Tuesday.
