Kathmandu: China topped the Tokyo Olympics in Japan with 20 gold medals. China has won a total of 44 medals, including 20 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze.
Second-placed Japan has won 29 medals, including 17 gold, four silver and eight bronze. The United States is in third place with 45 medals, including 16 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze. The fourth-ranked Russian Olympic Committee has won 36 medals, including 10 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze.
The United Kingdom has won eight, South Korea five, the Netherlands four and France, Canada, New Zealand, the Czech Republic and Croatia three.
