Asia T20 Cup: Pakistan beat Afghanistan, India eliminated

Kathmandu – Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in the Super Four match of Asia Cup T-20 cricket last night.

With the victory of Pakistan, India, which is considered as the contender for the Asia Cup cricket title, has been eliminated from the Super Four. Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by one wicket and reached the final.

Along with Pakistan, Sri Lanka also reached the final. In the match against Afghanistan, Pakistan found the target of 130 runs by losing 9 wickets in 19 overs and 2 balls. Pakistan needed 11 runs off the last 6 balls.

After Nasim Shah hit consecutive sixes in the first and second balls, Pakistan got a thrilling victory. He added 14 unbeaten runs.

Similarly, Pakistan’s Sadab Khan scored 36, Iftikhar Ahmed 30, Mohammad Rizwan 20 and Asif Ali scored 16.

Afghanistan’s Faizal Farooqui and Fariq Ahmed took 3/3 wickets each. Rashid Khan took 2 wickets. After losing the toss and batting first, Afghanistan scored 129 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran scored 35 runs and Harjullah Zazai scored 21 runs. Pakistan’s Haris Rauf took 2 wickets.

Nisam Shah, Mohammad Hassanen, Sadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz took 1 wicket each. India lost to Pakistan by 5 wickets in the first match of the Super Four. Similarly, in the second match, India lost to Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.

A match will be played between India and Afghanistan, who have been eliminated from the Asia Cup.

The winning team will have only two points. Pakistan will play Sri Lanka tomorrow in the final match. Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play for the title on Sunday.
